We welcome you to www.fnha.ca/goodmedicine.

The Good Medicine initiative highlights how we, as Indigenous people across BC, are using culture, traditional knowledge, and spirituality to support ourselves and each other in these trying times. Intergenerational resilience, lateral kindness and humour are our inherent strengths as Indigenous people, and the Good Medicine initiative focuses on these and other strengths in positive stories and fun, interactive posts.

Over the coming weeks (and beyond!), we're sharing Good Medicine stories and videos that highlight some incredible First Nations wellness champions who are inspiring their communities. We'll also be sharing stories about how First Nations people across BC are using their Indigenous Peoples Day of Wellness Grants from the FNHA to hold innovative online celebrations in their communities.

Check out the new Good Medicine page to be inspired and learn about how you can share your own story! Or follow us on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter, and subscribe to our newsletter today.

Celebration is Good Medicine!

June 21 is National Indigenous Peoples Day! This year, the FNHA has partnered with CFNR, Canada's First Nations Radio network, on their live video streaming show celebrating First Nations culture across the province. Check it out for community videos and interviews with some of the FNHA's Chief Medical Office team on June 21 at https://www.cfnrfm.ca/

The FNHA Office of the Chief Medical Officer created the Good Medicine initiative as part of its strengths-based approach to wellness. We are committed to amplifying and celebrating inspirational Indigenous wellness champions and community-driven initiatives.
