The First Nations Health Authority (FNHA) is engaging with the urban and away-from-home population (UAH), BC First Nations, urban Indigenous organizations and health system partners in each health region.

The goal of this engagement is to create and improve communications and pathways with the UAH First Nations population in BC to better support health and wellness planning.

As noted in FNHA's Urban and Away-from-Home Health and Wellness Framework, there is a need to create communication pathways and understand how to best connect with the UAH population in BC.

Engagement sessions will take place throughout the province both in-person and virtually, starting in the Northern Region in March. You can register for the engagement sessions here.

  • March 14: Smithers
  • March 16: Terrace
  • March 28: Chetwynd
  • March 30: Prince George (with transportation from the Prince George Native Friendship Center)

There will be more event locations coming your way across the Northern Region soon.

For those unable to attend these sessions, an online engagement survey is available. Engagement will also take place at provincial events, such as Gathering Our Voices and Junior All Native Basketball Tournament.

For a schedule of engagement sessions and events the UAH team will be attending, visit the link here.
