The First Nations Health Authority (FNHA) welcomes the court's decision to uphold the termination of the funding agreements with ITHA effective March 31st.
Senior FNHA staff will continue to work with community leadership in the spirit of self-determination to ensure a seamless transition to new service providers. We will work with communities to put in place the arrangements they are asking for.
Our staff will also reach out to ITHA to try and make the transition as smooth as possible, mindful of the judge's recommendation that all parties do the best they can for the people they serve.
At every stage of this difficult process FNHA has put the health and wellness of its clients first and will continue to do so.
We acknowledge the decision of the court with regard to the third-party manager and will start the process to make the final payment to ITHA today.
