Effective July 2, the following changes will be made to the Mental Health Benefit. These changes aim to enhance service quality and clarify existing policies. Please see the

New policies:

Updated provider eligibility: New provider eligibility requirements to strengthen cultural safety knowledge and training.

Additional counselling hours: A new submission process is required for counselling requests beyond the initial pre-determination.
Clarification of existing policies:

Family counselling billing: Clearer guidance on billing practices.

Out-of-Province providers: Clarification on out-of-province eligibility requirements.

Changes to provider information: Clarification of FNHB notification requirements.
