Health Benefits reminds clients of travel claims policies for medical appointments in light of the provincial government's restart plan to safely lift COVID-19 pandemic restrictions.

Clients needing to travel between health regions for medical reasons do not have to wait until June 15 to attend appointments.

The FNHA continues to provide the following supports for status First Nations individuals who are advised to self-isolate by a healthcare provider for reasons related to COVID-19:
Effective dates for these supports are between Jan. 12 and Dec. 31, 2021.
At any time, if you have severe symptoms such as difficulty breathing, chest pain, or are losing consciousness, call 9-1-1 or your local ambulance service.
Call 1-888-305-1505 if you have been advised to self-isolate and need support to cover meals and accommodation expenses. Service hours are Monday–Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and Saturday–Sunday from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m.
