Health Benefits reminds clients of travel claims policies for medical appointments in light of the provincial government's restart plan to safely lift COVID-19 pandemic restrictions.

At this time, the government plan includes:

  • The lifting of restrictions on travel within BC as of June 15
  • An increase in BC Ferries and BC Transit services from June 15, as needed
  • Continued mask requirements in public indoor settings until at least July 1
  • The return of indoor dining as of May 25

Clients needing to travel between health regions for medical reasons do not have to wait until June 15 to attend appointments.
