Here's your chance.

Organize a walk in your community the week of May 3rd – 11th, 2014.

Walk with your Doc is an annual event organized by the BC Medical Association's Doctors of BC, celebrating the World Health Organization's Move for Health Day. The First Nations Health Authority is partnering with the BCMA on this event and is challenging Doctors, Community Health Professionals, Health Directors, Nurse and Nurse Practitioners, and Health Centres in BC First Nations communities to organize a walk in your community!

Registering your walk is easy! Visit www.walkwithyourdoc.ca for more information and how to sign up. Organizers will receive a promotional package that includes sign-up sheets, postcards, and pedometers to help promote walking in your community!

"The First Nations Health Authority encourages all First Nations to organize a walk in your community the week of May 3rd – 11th, 2014 and take advantage of walk with your doc week to help build relationships with your local health care providers and take steps to promote your own wellness." - First Nations Health Authority CEO Joe Gallagher.

Live in the Lower Mainland? Join us on Saturday, May 3rd in Vancouver for the provincial launch event with the FNHA's CEO Joe Gallagher and our doc's, Dr. Shannon Waters, Dr. Isaac Sobol, Dr. Sarah Williams, Dr. Naomi Dove, and Deputy Provincial Health Officer Dr. Evan Adams. All ages and abilities welcome - pets too! Register for the Vancouver event here.
