The First Nations Health Authority (FNHA) is proud to announce it is partnering with Northern Native Broadcasting to sponsor Good Medicine, a health and wellness radio program. The first episode will air on Monday, March 6 at 6 pm on Journey 106.3 FM Vancouver, Northern Native Broadcasting's first station in the Lower Mainland.

Good Medicine is a weekly 30-minute radio program that will focus on health and wellness stories from a wholistic First Nations and Indigenous perspective. The inaugural guest for the first episode is Dr. Nel Wieman, Acting Chief Medical Officer for the FNHA. That episode will touch on important issues, shared awareness and compassion, good medicine, and some beautiful moments of vulnerability. The Junior All Native Tournament, Gathering Our Voices, and harm reduction are topics for future episodes.

Good Medicine is hosted by Ashley Pimlott, an Indigenous woman from K'ómoks. Ashley has a passion for healthy living and is excited to host her first program. She has full editorial control of the program with the FNHA providing support by generating story ideas and helping source guests from our many experts in the health care field.

The program will also repeat on CFNR, which has a wide reach throughout northern BC, including 42 First Nations communities.
