The First Nations Health Authority (FNHA) is connecting with the Urban and Away-from-Home (UAH) population, BC First Nations, urban Indigenous organizations, and health partners to better understand the health and wellness needs of the UAH population. This engagement helps FNHA strengthen its health and wellness planning to deliver culturally relevant, trauma informed supports to First Nations individuals living in urban areas or away from home.
UAH engagement began in March 2023 and is now wrapping up in the Vancouver Island and Interior regions, with the Northern region already complete. If you missed an in-person or virtual session in these areas, there's still time to share your thoughts by completing our online engagement survey before Aug. 31.
Stay tuned for upcoming engagement sessions in the Fraser Salish and Vancouver Coastal regions!
